Forever Wild is a bequest event for all Wilderness Society supporters. This Forever Wild in Adelaide will involve a walk, guest speakers and music.

After failing to come to an agreement about a national water plan for the Murray-Darling basin, Prime Minister Howard will push ahead, despite Victoria’s refusal to agree to the scheme which Bracks claims does not protect the rights of Victorian irrigators and the environment.

Federal Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull has sketched out a $200 million scheme that will monitor deforestation using satellite imagery. Mr Turnbull said reducing deforestation is a key part of the fight against carbon emissions and global warming. The Minister spoke at the opening of the Global Initiative on Forests and Climate being held in Sydney.
