Southern sections of the Great Barrier Reef have been heavily damaged by Cyclone Hamish, with the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority fearing it is the worst damage the reef has sustained from cyclones in the last 30 years.  Industry Associations are calling on the Queensland Government to declare sections of the reef a disaster zone.  The Government is yet to respond.
